5 Ways to Use Artificial Green Walls in Your Home

Standard green wall panel, fern and spider-plant mix

A green wall is one of the fastest ways to change how a room feels — without repainting, without new furniture, and without the upkeep a living wall demands. Here are five ways homeowners commonly use them.

1. A Feature Wall Behind the Sofa or TV

Living rooms often have one wall that does nothing — a green wall panel turns it into the focal point of the room, giving the space texture and depth that a flat painted wall can't.

2. Framing an Entrance or Hallway

The first few metres inside a front door set the tone for the rest of the home. A narrow green wall panel either side of the entrance makes a strong first impression without taking up floor space.

3. Softening a Balcony or Terrace

Outdoor-rated panels hold their colour in direct sun and don't need irrigation, which makes them a practical option for balconies and terraces that get full daylight for most of the day.

4. Dividing an Open-Plan Space

A freestanding or wall-mounted green panel can visually separate a living area from a dining area in an open-plan layout, without the bulk of a full partition.

5. Adding Greenery to a Kitchen or Bathroom

Rooms with steam, humidity or limited natural light are difficult for real plants but pose no issue for artificial greenery, making them a good fit for kitchens and bathrooms.
